Formally trained as an industrial designer Andrew Pick spent his initial working years in New York City, focused on lighting and furniture with mmckenna & Humanscale. A year as part of the Ingo Maurer Team in Munich inspired a return to school as preparation for a craft-based praxis. Investigations into material process and experimentation led to an approach that is a convergence of art and design, the hands-on making with production knowledge.
Currently working as the Manager of Product & Design for Kuzco Lighting he enacts a practical and versatile approach, following every aspect of the development process while contributing new work. Living a dual life as a maker Andrew continues to pursue personal art projects and interests such as furniture scale sculpture and photography-based site installations.
