Simple packing tape was used for an iteration of the previous copy chairs. The layering of tape works similarly to the paper. Each successive application builds the thickness and softens the edges. The tape was appealing for its quality of light and translucent form. The change in opacity is dramatic. A time lapse of the tape chair in front of a window emphasizes the perceived change in form and behavior of the light. The new chair appears to change over time like a sundial.
