GHOST CHAIR

Time lapse depiction of sunlight altering our perception of a material. Using a chair constructed of translucent wrap and packaging tape light refracts through the material layers. The changing daylight conditions create a gradation of perceived transparency, shifting with brightness to nearly opaque.

FOIL PLANE

Further views of the textures introduced into the material during the exploration process.

FOIL ISO

Close-up photography of explorations into aluminum foil and the capture of various surface textures.

TENSION TABLE

Side table in progress. The piece uses tension to unite the four sides by providing the structural strength.

METAL WIRE

Explorations in metal wire. The material was used in conjunction with an adjustable wooden jig to create a variety of forms.

WOOD KERFS

Explorations in wood surface and transformation. Multiple table saw cuts were used as a means to alter the wood flexibility.

LOST SHIRT

'LOST SHIRT' was a two-part installation that took place during Art Prize at the UICA in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mark McKenna and Preston Dane were the artists while I helped with CAD modeling, graphic design and installation of the artwork.
