Formally trained as an industrial designer Andrew Pick spent his initial working years in New York City, focused on lighting and furniture with mmckenna & Humanscale. A year as part of the Ingo Maurer Team in Munich inspired a return to school as preparation for a craft-based praxis. Investigations into material process and experimentation led to an approach that is a convergence of art and design, the hands-on making with production knowledge.
Recently pivoting from lighting into furniture as a team member at Bendtsen Design Associates he is heavily engaged in the product development process. While contributing to the excellent new work the renowned firm provides an ideal opportunity for expanded learning and growth.
Living a dual life as a maker Andrew continues to pursue personal art projects and interests such as furniture scale sculpture and photography-based site installations. Open to new collaborations and proposals he may be reached through the contact page
