Welded steel rod
The Fracture table was designed as an experiment in both form and structure. The table is constructed entirely of uniform lengths of steel rod which has then been welded together in an entirely random pattern. In maximizing the spacing between the metal elements an efficient structure is created which is both lightweight and strong.
