Mercury Flags

The Mercury installation is an extension of the initial Shimmer flags project, replacing the metallic gold with an achromatic mirror finish. Contrary to the sparse environment of the previous site these reflective flags were placed in a contrasting verdant setting. Dependent on wind direction and intensity these reactive instruments morph into a plethora of faceted mirrors visually combining sky and earth.
